Dear Parish Family, Parish Council and I are delighted to tell you that we were able to quickly address the parish's popular request for an additional Mass on Sundays, which will help with any concerns about an increasingly crowded environment, especially as we enter flu season.
Starting December 1, Sunday Masses will be held at 8:00 and 9:30 am, with praying of the Rosary to start 30 minutes before each mass. Religious education will begin promptly after the 9:30 am Mass. Parish Council and I decided on this schedule based on feedback from our Parish survey, feedback on what is working for religious education families, and other logistical considerations for Rosary, Adoration, and availability of parking and an organist. We also agreed on the need to establish six work teams, each with a leader, to address the other suggestions in the survey. In the near term, we plan to meet the popular request for more opportunities to participate in Mass, such as altar servers, oƯertory procession, and Eucharistic ministry.
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts with me as we take these next steps. Please also be sure you've completed the Harrisburg Diocese online survey, which will help guide us as we move steadily forward.
